Morganton was one of eight teams from the United States and one of sixteen in the world to qualify for the 2004 Little League World Series in Williamsport, P.A. Morganton finished third in the United States Pool and seventh in the world. During the tournament, Morganton played in five nationally televised games on ESPN.
